Hello,
Once again, many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project.
My Apache / Peruser has been now stable almoust six months.
After the 0.3.0-patch everything changed to better :)
I have now faced problem with DDos. Or actually it's not problem yet, but
it could be and i want to be one step farder then enemy :)
I have used mod_evasive before peruser and it was actually running on my
prod server(s) all this time. Today i found that one of the customer is
getting DDos from Estonia. Also find out that mod_evasive don't do what it
supposed todo. I did some Googling and find out that problem is that
evasive don't share data between child processes. So, of course it won't
work with peruser, right?
What kind of solutions have you guys used to protect your asses from this
shitty problem? Any change that someone could suggest me something
software based solution for this?
Or should you guys do some coding and implement this kind of feature to
peruser? I know this two thing has nothing todo with each other, but..:)
Anyway. Happy weekend!
Regards,
Pete
