[peruser] Permission denied: mod_rewrite

it seems RewriteLogLevel 0 isnt enough

i commented out the following in mod_rewrite.c, and mod_rewrite still 
seems to work

     /*

         ap_log_error(APLOG_MARK, APLOG_CRIT, rv, s,
